The story behind EPKK project
Our missions was to give the old content new looks with a new CMS
Estonian Chamber of Agriculture and Commerce was established in 1996 and they want people to have delicious high-quality food on the table. EPKK hired us to take their website and give it a very simple look and set up a new content management system.
With a clear and simple goal, we dived into the work and found nearly 1500 pages that needed to be imported manually since the old database was a big WOW (read oh f***). Hard working people as we Estonians are, this was not a problem at all. It all got done.
We started with the research and wireframing, during which we made many fun discoveries. Then we started to design the new look and kept in very simple and minimalistic. After finishing the designs for desktop, mobile and tablet, we started coding the Wordpress Theme and imported all the old content. It took some time, but now EPKK has a simpler way to add and manage content. So, win-win again.
The website is up and after some training everything now runs smoothly.
Quick overview of what we did:
Research, analysis, wireframes, responsive design, front+back development, content migration, a multilingual Wordpress Theme, and much, much more.
Everything was made possible thanks to:
The EPKK team and management, Lauri P, Kaarel K, Kristjan V and other craftsmen.
