The Baltic E-Commerce UX Summit 2019 is already happening today, on the 10th of April. It is organized by Äripäev, whose niche website kaubandus.ee has caught a lot of attention in the e-commerce world. They are the leading force of this event!
The summit is mostly focused on User Experience, but the speakers will also be covering topics like m-commerce, innovative payment solutions, etc.
Speaking of speakers (get it?), there are a lot of interesting people giving talks at this event, for example, Katharina Wittgens, who is the managing director of Innovationbubble. We also have Andre Veskimeister, who is a board member at Omniva, one of the biggest postal services in the Baltics. They both have very interesting topics and really wide knowledge of e-commerce.
Not to mention all the other speakers: Lisa Byfield-Green, Jan Plaan, Vladas Sapranavicius, Irmeli Rytkönen, Tõnu Väät, Silver Hage, Simonas Bielskis, Reinis Groskops, and, of course, our very own Lauri Post.

The summit will also be hosting an award ceremony for the best e-commerce websites, who registered their site to the competition. There were a lot of e-stores, that participated and the ones that qualified were divided into different categories (fashion, building materials, food/drinks, etc).
They were evaluated by the jury based on a lot of different criteria, for example, user experience on all platforms (desktop, mobile, tablet), overall design, security, presentation, etc.
Lauri spent his weekend by looking through all the different websites and evaluating them. There were quite a lot of participants, so you could say that it was a busy weekend! This year, the competition will be fierce, and it is going to be super interesting to see who will take the trophies of the best UX in the Baltics!
We are restlessly looking forward to the event and hope to you either at the event or on the interwebs!
